I have had the pleasure of working with Kim in both professional and personal circumstances.
Kim did my makeup for years on Judging Amy and for many public appearances during that time.Never once was I unhappy with her work.
Kim isn’t heavy handed like some makeup artists I have worked with. Her makeup is light and beautiful and she gives you just enough coverage to make you look your best on camera. She is also a very good photographer and is aware of how lighting can affect things. I am very pale and tend to get washed out. Kim made sure that she compensated for the lighting on our show. Kim is talented and professional and easy to work with. She takes enormous pride in her work. You can relax because you know she will take care of you.
Through the years, Kim and I have become great friends. She recently did my make-up for my wedding. I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else to do it. My stepmother, who doesn’t believe in makeup, was worried that I was going to be overdone. My mother-in-law, who thinks I never wear enough makeup, thought I wouldn’t look “done” enough. Let’s just say that they both thought I looked beautiful. Kim knows how to find the right balance between your natural look and the beneficial effects of makeup. Her work is beautiful on and off camera. She listens to what you want, considers the event and gives you exactly what you need.
If given the opportunity, you’d be crazy not to work with Kim… and I’m not just saying that because she is a great friend. I believe in her work and feel very comfortable recommending her.
P.S. - She is also a great photographer, especially with children. She took pictures of me and my daughter that are so beautiful, that I don’t mind showing them to everyone- and I’m 9 months pregnant and naked in most of them, so that should tell you how good she is.
